The soundtrack is built up of various samples: major of these recorded on actual site (Ashford) and in Canterbury: recordings from high street, local shopping centres and retail shops (H&M; Debenhams to mention some), caffes, fast-food restaurants and from the University for Creative Arts itself.
As sound recordings in private owned businesses are not allowed and doing it legally needs a lot of paperwork, some of the recordings were committed undercover: with microphone hidden in a bag, decreasing the quality of recordings. Couple of small businesses allowed recordings when asked, but the practice showed that it was easier to start recording barbarously and stop when asked.
Minority of samples are downloaded from free online sound effect collections.
Samples were put together in sound editing software.
